P.O.V. (short for Point of View) was an R&B vocal group from New Jersey that consisted of Hakim “H.B.” Bell (the son of Kool & The Gang’s Robert “Kool” Bell), Ewarner “E” Mills, The Rapper Extraordinaire (born Marc Sherman) and Lincoln “Link” DeVulgt (born in the Virgin Islands).
In 1993, the group released their debut single “Anutha Love” under the tutelage of Hakim Abdulsamad (who was in R&B group the Boys), but it was Michael Bennet who took P.O.V. to Jamaica & recorded the song “Summer Nights” in his studio in Kingston.

It’s unknown how or if the single made the Billboard music charts at all.

During that same year, P.O.V. released their only album on Giant Records “Handin’ Out Beatdowns.”
